So long summer!

Start searching for those alarm clocks. Children around Brevard County no longer will be able to stay up late watching movies or playing on the computer.

Waking up late will end Thursday, Aug. 10 when public schools begin the 2017-2018 school year.

Any last-minute vacations or long-weekend treks better be taken now. Take a drive to the north and take a dip at a few of the cold-water springs in other counties.

Drive over to St. Petersburg to see the Tampa Bay Rays play. They’re making a run for the American League playoffs, challenging the Red Sox and Yankees.

Go to our wonderful shorelines or make a trek to beaches around the state.
You won’t regret it. There’s no such thing as a bad day at the beach.
