Stay Positive & Healthy
Understanding the cyclical nature of life just might be the healthiest approach to aging.
Just ask 62-year-old Ester Premate, who was born in Croatia when it still was a part of communist Yugoslavia.
“You have to be positive — everyone goes through something,’’ said Premate, who is a breast cancer survivor. “It doesn’t matter who you are, how much money you have or what your religion is.’’
Premate uses olive oil abundantly for both cooking and for salads in her daily diet. She also eats a lot of fruits.
“Your body is like a car, and you have to be careful what you put into a car,’’ said Premate, who works for Essential Spa. “Your body is also like a house. When you’re living, the spirit is always here.’’
Last year, Premate was delighted to see her son graduate from the University of Central Florida with a degree in finance.
“I’m like Melania (Trump). I came here in 1993 beautiful, young and rich. In 1995, I had a boy. Now, I’m an old, sick and poor American. My mission is done; I’ve raised a good man.’’
