Suntree Rotary's Great Tastes breaks fundraising record

The Suntree Rotary Club raised a record $20,000-plus at the Great Tastes at Suntree Oct. 29 at Suntree Country Club. Representatives from the charities will pick up their checks split three ways at the 7:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9 meeting at Suntree Country Club.

The charities include Gabrielle Place, formerly known as of the Space Coast Center for Mothers with Children, located in the Suntree area west of U.S. 1, north of Pineda Causeway; Take Stock in Children, run by Brevard School District's Brevard Schools Foundation to help students earn scholarships for higher education; and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida north Melbourne Temple Terrace location.

Winning food providers at the event were Palm Shores Bistro for first place for the second year in a row, Matt's Casbah for President's Choice and Uno Pizzeria & Grill won again for Best Dressed Booth.
