If you would like to show off your decorated golf cart this holiday season, there are two parades this month you might want to participate in for a family fun experience.

The first one is the inaugural Viera Regional Holiday Golf Cart Parade and Snowball Fight from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at the Viera Regional Community Center.

Hosted by the Brevard County South Area Parks and Recreation Department, the parade is part of Viera's First Friday Farmers Market & Food Trucks and Viera Park Market.

Santa and his elves will judge for the best-decorated golf cart. Afterward, participations can gather in the gym for an indoor snowball fight for only $2 a person. If participating in the snowball fight, please make sure to wear athletic shoes.

To register your golf cart for the parade, call 321-433-4891 or come into the Viera Regional Community Center. Registration is free, but there are a limited number of spots for the parade.

The golf cart lineup begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the start of the parade at 7 p.m.

For the fifth year in a row, GolfCarts Unlimited will host its Golf Cart Christmas Parade and Decoration Contest on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The golf cart entry fee for the parade is $20 and all entrants must pass all required safety rules.

Robbie Rosenberger, the chief financial officer for GolfCarts Unlimited, said all proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Hunger Project of Brevard County.

The golf cart lineup will begin at 5 p.m. in The Avenue Viera, followed by the parade at 6 p.m. The awards ceremony in Central Park will be held at 8 p.m. A $500, $300 and $200 prize will be awarded to the best looking holiday-decorated golf carts.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will escort the parade.
