Tea and Talk: A Conversation About Women's Health

Oct 26, 2019
2:00 PM until 4:00 PM

Here for the Girls and Myriad Women’s Health invite the public to attend a Tea and Talk panel discussion on women’s health at Space Coast Health Foundation. The panel, comprised of three women with diverse expertise related to women’s health issues, will lead a discussion on how women can best take charge of their health and be their own best advocates.

The panel discussion, titled “Tea and Talk: A Conversation About Women’s Health,” is free and open to the public, and will feature a Q&A session afterwards, as well as light refreshments. It will take place at Space Coast Health Foundation at 1100 Rockledge Blvd. Panelists include:

• Rene Bowditch, Co-Founder of Here for the Girls, Inc., and breast cancer survivor. She is a lawyer and former adjunct professor at William & Mary Law School, as well as a speaker on women’s health issues.
• Dr. Tanya Taival, an obstetrician-gynecologist in Titusville, Florida, and affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Parrish Medical Center and Rockledge Regional Medical Center.
• Katya Lezin, ovarian cancer survivor, patient advocate, and author of “But I Just Grew Out My Bangs! A Cancer Tale,” a memoir, among other titles. “Within the realm of bad luck of having cancer, the fact that mine stemmed from the BRCA-1 mutation was nothing but good luck,” Lezin says.

“Tea and Talk: A Conversation About Women’s Health” is co-hosted by Myriad Genetics, Inc., a leading personalized medicine company dedicated to being a trusted advisor transforming patient lives worldwide with pioneering molecular diagnostics.
