When I Play I Learn Workshop

Making the Most of Play Time!

Stacey Schneider, Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist with Space Coast Early Steps

Infants and Toddlers learn best through play during their daily routines and interactions with caregivers.

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss how to incorporate learning into daily play activities with children from birth to age 3 years.

We will discuss activities and toys that facilitate quality learning experiences for young children as they grow and develop.

Developmental toys will be given out as door prizes.

There will be plenty of time for individual questions so come ask a local early interventionist!

Stacey Schneider completed her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Florida State University in 1992 and has worked with Early Steps since 1993 as a Family Service Coordinator, Lead Family Service Coordinator, and since 2007 as an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS).  Stacey works directly with infants, toddlers, and their caregivers in their homes and pre-schools with a particular interest in working with the youngest babies including the premature and the medically-fragile.  As an Early Steps ITDS, she works with children who have been diagnosed with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and language delays.  Stacey also is part of the Early Steps eligibility evaluation teams administering the BDI2 (Battelle Developmental Inventory) and works closely with pediatric physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and behavioral specialists.
