Cheers Seafood and Grill offers fresh food and friendly service

Friendly service and delicious seafood keep customers coming back to Cheers Seafood and Grill in Rockledge.

“Ninety percent of our customers are regulars and locals,” said manager Colby Spaulding. “We have great, fresh food and the best happy hour around.”

Favorites at the restaurant are the crab cakes and fresh fish. Both meals are accompanied by a bountiful green salad.

“The crab cakes are the most popular menu item,” Spaulding said. “There is very little breading and lots of crab in our crab cakes, so people love them.”

Fresh seafood is served seasonally and prepared to order. Wahoo, Redfish and Snapper are the fresh fish specials.

The Rockledge Cheers Seafood and Grill is the second location of the restaurant opened by owner Neil Shastri. The Cocoa Cheers is in the Cocoa Commons. Shastri places an emphasis on hospitality amid a family-type atmosphere along with quality menu items.

Shastri regularly makes donations to the Rockledge Police Department, fire department and area schools in an effort to lend community support.

New chef Jeff Reynolds brings more than 30 years of experience to Cheers, according to Spaulding. Meals are prepared with only fresh ingredients, and without artificial flavors.

“Chef Reynolds has made some changes, including re-doing the kitchen,” Spaulding said. “We are also starting to do catering for large parties.”

And about that happy hour? It’s every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. House wine, selected draft beer and shelf liquor are all two for the price of one.
