The Viera Discovery Center has moved to The Avenue Viera and everyone is welcome to stop by.

Visitors and residents alike will enjoy a visit to the Viera Discovery Center, where they can talk to the friendly staff.

“We’re excited to be at The Avenue Viera, and we encourage people to stop by and learn about our great subdivisions and community,” said Carmen Vastola, the center’s supervisor. “We have an exploration guide, a community map and displays for our visitors.”

The Viera Discovery Center opened five years ago as a resource for the area. The center recently moved to The Avenue Viera from its former location in front of Walmart Viera on Wickham Road. Viera Builders is now located in the former Viera Discovery Center location.

“We moved to the Avenue Viera to better serve the community as well as be more centrally located in anticipation of the expected increase in visitors,” Vastola said.

Visitors to the Viera Discovery Center, which is located at 2261 Town Center Avenue, Unit 105, can learn about the area, including the Duda family history, and take home a map of fun places to explore and enjoy.

The center’s staff are knowledgeable about the Brevard Zoo, the area's challenging golf courses, the Viera Wetlands, biking and walking trails and things to do in other parts of Brevard as well.

Besides the good economy, Vastola said good schools and great weather attract newcomers to Viera. She pointed out that most everyone appreciates the central location in Brevard and the easy access to Interstate 95. A newly planned interchange to Interstate 95 will make Viera even more accessible to surrounding communities in Brevard and beyond.
