New business news

On Feb. 7, Dr. Oluyemisi Sonoiki opened the Healthy Minors Pediatric Urgent Care facility in Rockledge. She has been a practicing pediatrician since 1997.

On staff is Christa Kovachevich, a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner.

Prior to opening her practice, Sonoiki served military families at Patrick Air Force Base. Kovachevich brings 24 years of nursing experience from her service in the United States Air Force.

Sonoiki trained in Nigeria, New York and the United Kingdom. She is licensed on three continents.

At Healthy Minors, no appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome.

“We cater to all minors from the newborn to the college student,” Kovachevich said. “We are well equipped to deal with a variety of non-life threatening illness and are open late seven days a week to accommodate working parents.”

Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

“I knew in my heart since age 8 that I would become a doctor,” Sonoiki said. “If you never chase your dreams, you will never catch them.”

The practice is at the Riverview Tower, 6525 3rd St. Rockledge, Suite 106. For more information, call 321-307-9400.
