The Dorcas Circle Methodist Women’s group will hold its annual spring Attic Treasures and Bake Sale from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 14 at Suntree United Methodist Church at 7400 North Wickham Road.

The Dorcas Circle is a group of approximately 50 women, who meet monthly for the purpose of doing community service. The group tries to emulate Dorcas, a biblical saint who spent her life helping the poor.

Attic Treasures and Bake Sale items include, but are not limited to, small appliances, cookware, glassware, antiques and collectibles, seasonal items, jewelry, bedding, linens, books, toys, sporting goods, pictures, mirrors, silk flowers, CDs, DVDs, miscellaneous items, and home-baked goods.

Proceeds from the sale will go to local charities including:

• Daily Bread, a soup kitchen in Melbourne that feeds more than 200 people daily.

• Devereux, which provides behavioral, developmental and residential care for children.

• Salvation Army Women’s Shelter, which provides assistance for victims of domestic abuse.

• Suntree Outreach Missions, which serves the community with child and adult ministries.

Items can be donated to Dorcas Circle at Suntree United Methodist Church’s worship center from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 13.  No old computers, telephones, electronics or clothing are accepted.
