Surfer girl a finalist for Miss Pre Teen
Jasmine Marie Gailey of Suntree was selected as a Florida finalist for the Miss Florida Pre Teen pageant.
Twelve-year-old surfer Jasmine Marie Gailey of Suntree was selected as a Florida finalist for the Miss Florida Pre Teen Pageant to be held July 18 and 19 at the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando.
If crowned Miss Pre Teen Florida, Jasmine will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California. She would represent Florida for the entire year and would also tour Hollywood.
Jasmine’s activities and information, according to her application, include “school, church, reading, writing, skateboarding, surfing, helping others and being a light in the community. She is a lover of all people, animals, places and things and will drop everything she is doing to help someone in need.”
