Three new stores in the third phase of Viera Shops on Lake Andrew Drive south of The Avenue Viera are scheduled to open soon.

PetSmart will have a grand opening of its new 12,000-square-foot store on Saturday, May 2, with an in-store celebration and ribbon cutting starting at 9 a.m., PetSmart spokesperson Danielle Bickelmann said. The first 50 customers will receive a Mystery PetSmart gift card valued at up to $50, and customers who enroll in PetSmart’s PetPerks Rewards program get free T-shirts. There also will be trick training sessions by pet training instructors, free giveaways and prize drawings, Bickelmann said.

The new store will employ about 40 to 50 people, Bickelmann said.

The Viera location will be the second PetSmart in Brevard. The other is at 1800 Evans Rd. in Melbourne.

Buffalo Wild Wings is set to open May 25, and the first 100 customers could win wings for a year, said Randall Groover, regional marketing director. The sports-bar chain specializes in wings and other American pub grub, beer and live sports on lots of large-screen televisions.

About 70 to 100 people will be hired at the Viera location, which will seat up to 400 people, Groover said.

Another Buffalo Wild Wings is at 4325 Norfolk Parkway at the Hammock Landing shopping center in West Melbourne.

Tijuana Flats is slated to open “sometime in June,” said Monique Yeager, vice president of marketing for the Altamonte Springs-based Tex-Mex restaurant chain. “We will have a grand opening and there will be various specials for a week,” Yeager wrote in an email. “More than that, we’re not sure yet.”

Tijuana Flats already has two locations in Brevard County ― at 1270 N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne and at 76 E. Merritt Island Causeway on Merritt Island.

Three other businesses, Five Below, Burger 21 and Sherwin-Williams Paint Store, reportedly have signed leases to open at the plaza.

Five Below is a chain of discount stores aimed at the pre-teen and teen market, with products that cost no more than $5.

Burger 21, a fast-casual franchise, offers 21 chef-inspired burger creations, plus made-to-order salads, hot dogs, chicken tenders and an extensive shake bar including hand-crafted shakes, floats and sundaes.

The Sherwin-Williams Co. has grown to be the largest producer of paints and coatings in the United States. The Viera location will be the 10th Sherwin-Williams paint store, commercial plant or automotive finishes store in Brevard.
