Viera High and Holy Trinity hosting summer sports camps
With school coming to a close, parents will be looking for things to keep their children occupied for the next few months.
You know what that means … summer camp.
Viera High is offering a number of sports camps designed to help your child get first-class instruction in the sport they love playing.
The Viera Baseball Academy’s 2015 Baseball Camp of Champions is offered for children ages 7 to 14. There are three different camps in all, but each one will take place at the AAA Field next to Space Coast Stadium.
The All-Purpose Camp runs from June 8 to 10. The Pitching and Catchers Camp is on June 22 to 23 and the Specialized Hitting Camp takes place June 29 to 30.
All camps run from 9 a.m. to noon and the cost is $125 per camp. Register by May 1, and it will be $100 per camp.

Campers will receive instruction not only from the Viera High coaching staff, but also interact with current and former Viera players. The camp is co-ed for children ages 8 to 14 and will run June 15 to 19 and June 22 to 26. The sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Fridays.
Cost is $130 per camp ($150 after May 15). A meal plan is available for an additional $20.

The Mini Hawk Cheer Camp takes place June 15 to 19 and is for kids ages 4 to 14. Cost is $130, though there are multi-family discounts.
Children ages 4 to 6 will be in camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp for 7- to 14-year-olds runs until 4 p.m.

Campers should be entering the third-through-eighth grade. The camps will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 29 to July 2 and from 9 a.m. to noon July 3.

The Hawks are offering three different camps this year. Incoming fourth to sixth graders can take part from 9 a.m. to noon June 8 to 11, while the camp for incoming 7th to 9th graders runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $120.
There will also be an advanced camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 12 and 13 for incoming seventh to ninth graders with one year of club experience or one year of attending volleyball camp. Players must have an overhand serve. Cost is $120 ($90 if you attended the 2015 camp).

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy offers a number of camps covering a wide spectrum of interests including, of course, sports.
The co-ed camp is offered for children ages 8 to 16 and will take place June 1 to 5 at the school’s upper campus gymnasium. The hours are from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $100.

The Three Lions Soccer Academy, operated by Holy Trinity head coach James Phillips, will be putting on camps for children of all ages.
The Mini Camp for boys and girls ages 3 to 5 years old runs from June 15 to 19. The camp hours are 8 to 8:45 a.m. and the cost is $45 for the week.
The Little Camp is for boys and girls ages 5 to 6 and runs during the same dates and times as the Mini Camp. The cost is also $45.
The Premier Camper is for boys and girls 6 to 9 years old. It will be held June 8 to 12 and June 15 to 19. The half-day session runs from 9 a.m. to noon and costs $85 per week while the full-day camp goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is $149 per week.
There will also be two Elite Campers sessions for boys and girls 10 or older. It runs from June 8 to 12 and again from June 15 to 19. Half-day sessions run from 9 a.m. to noon for $85 per week and the full-day camp goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at a cost of $145 a week.

Open to all high school girl soccer players from seventh through 12th grade, the camp takes place July 13 to 17 at the high school stadium field.
Camp hours are from 9 a.m. to noon and the cost is $125 per player.

This camp runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 1 to 5 and the cost is $175 for each camper. Lunch is not included, but players can either bring it from home, or it can be purchased each day.
