In late March, Viera Manor Assisted Living was acquired by Orlando-based Sonata Senior Living. Sonata owns 20 Central Florida senior housing communities, including locations in Boca Raton and The Villages.
Sonata Viera features 84 assisted-living apartments totaling more than 63,000 square feet and is located at 3325 Breslay Drive, Viera.
Viera Manor opened in 2013 and made a name for itself as a moderately priced assisted living facility that offered discounts to veterans. Sonata Viera is adjacent to Viera’s Veteran’s Affairs Outpatient Clinic, offering optional additional care including primary and specialty practices. According to Sonata Viera management, guaranteed apartment pricing and discounts are available for senior veterans.
Later in the year, Sonata Viera will undergo a complete building renovation that will include the company’s award-winning purpose built memory care community model adjacent to the current community.
“We are excited to be in the Melbourne area and look forward to utilizing our expertise to enrich the lives of Sonata Viera residents with a new and enhanced lifestyle with a million dollars in renovations in the upcoming year,” said Brooke Ellis, Regional Director of Operations.
Sonata has several signature programs in place for seniors who live in the communities. At Your Service includes several methods for making the lives of guests easier, including a certified and licensed team of caregiving staff. The Harmony Assisted Living philosophy fosters a healthy quality of life for residents that includes 24-hour onsite licensed nursing. Live It Up! focuses on providing seven dimensions of wellness as identified by the International Council on Active Agting. Those areas are emotional, physical, social, environmental, spiritual and vocational health.
