Duran Golf Club hires Peter Watts as assistant golf professional.Duran Golf Club announced that Peter Watts has been named new assistant golf professional for Duran Golf Club. 

Watts will be responsible for providing an exceptional experience for Duran’s guests, assisting the professional staff with the day-to-day operation of the club's golf related activities, tournaments, leagues and outings, as well as teaching golf lessons at the development center. 

“We are excited and very fortunate to have landed a professional of Peter’s character and caliber here at Duran,” general manager David Tomczak said. 

Having graduated from the Golf Academy of America in Orlando in 2015, Watts will bring new ideas and fresh thinking to Duran. He earned his teaching certificate through the academy along with a degree in criminal justice from Schoolcraft College in Michigan. Watts relocated to Florida from Michigan, where he worked as the assistant golf professional at Treetops Resort in Gaylord.
