Brevard Zoo has named Tracy Steele its new manager of individual giving.

During her career, Steele has worked in development, marketing and public relations. She worked at Health First for 15 years as part of its marketing communications team and most recently served as the development and communications director at Melbourne Central Catholic High School.

Previously, she was president of the Space Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association and a board member of the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

“I’m honored to join the Zoo, an organization I see as a leader in conservation, animal wellness and education,’’ Steele said. “I’ve lived in Brevard County for many years and can’t wait to connect with the community to support an institution that has enriched the lives of so many.’’

Steele will assist individual donors in identifying giving opportunities. She hopes to improve the Brevard Zoo’s relationships throughout the community. Her goal is to help residents connect in a more intimate, meaningful way with the missions, initiatives and programs of the Zoo. The Zoo always has sought to enhance the quality of life throughout Brevard County.
