6th annual Scarecrow Stroll

 

2017 Scarecrow Stroll starts Oct. 4 — two-week event

Enjoy a community stroll to view locally designed crows. Vote for your favorite.  Fill out the ballot and enter to win prizes. 

Two-week event starts Oct. 4 to 18, 2017 (check weekend hours). Take a selfie with the crows and post on Facebook with #VVScarecrowStroll.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stroll around Viera, Suntree and Rockledge to view and vote! 


Map and Ballot are available in the October issue of the Viera Voice, vieravoice.com and all Scarecrow locations on the map.

Ballots are also available at Homemade Happiness in The Avenue Viera.

All ballots will be entered to for a chance to win first, second or third prize.


  

The scarecrow with the most votes from the Scarecrow Stroll ballot wins the “People’s Choice Scarecrow" trophy.

All scarecrows will be up for Silent Auction at the Harvest Festival on Oct. 21.

Judging the Scarecrows

• All of the competing Scarecrows will be judged by three local artists on location at the Harvest Festival venue  at The Avenue Viera.

• A $500 prize will be given to the winner of the Judge's Choice (artistic creativity), and the winner of the People's Choice will receive the a trophy.

• All Scarecrows will be auctioned off at the Harvest Festival. 100% of the proceeds will go to The Children's Hunger Project.

Mini-Crow Scarecrow Contest 

The Mini-Crow Contest will take place at the Harvest Festival, Saturday, Oct. 21 at The Avenue Viera Central Park.

Bring all mini crows to the Harvest Festival by 10 a.m. for display. Winners will be announced at 1 p.m.

Two age categories: 6 - 9 years & 10 - 15 years

$40 first prize, $20 second prize in each age group
