The Shell Harbor Retirement Community will offer “luxury retirement resort living” in the future.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held April 24, complete with a gold shovel and a presentation at The Twisted Birch in Rockledge.

“We’re excited to be bringing an all-inclusive retirement community for independent living for 55-plus to the local area,” said Shell Harbor Vice President of Marketing Kelly Jo Hinrichs during the groundbreaking ceremony. “We’re excited to get things started and we’re here to answer any questions that anybody has. We want to be good neighbors, so we’re looking forward to hearing from you.”
