BRPH, a Melbourne, Florida-based architecture and design firm, is pleased to announce that David Brownlee, a 30+ year veteran of the international architecture industry, has joined the BRPH Headquarters Office as Chief Operating Officer (COO), replacing prior COO Michael Vernich, who has been promoted to Executive Vice President of the company.

In his new position as COO, Brownlee will be responsible for leading technical operations for BRPH and successfully managing the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction. He will oversee selection of and training for technical staff and design professionals as well.

He held many leadership roles within the company over his tenure there, including as Managing Director, Operations Director and National Market Sector Leader.

As Executive Vice President, Michael Vernich will work with the President and CEO, as well as the company’s Market Sector Leaders, to develop forward-looking strategies to improve company growth, revenue and market share. He has been with BRPH since 2012 and served as the company’s previous COO.

“Our company has enjoyed steady growth and client loyalty over the years, and that is a direct reflection of the hard work and talent in our executive team,” said BRPH President & CEO Brian Curtin. “David brings substantial industry leadership experience to BRPH and Michael has been a driving force in our company’s growth for some time. I can’t think of a better match for these positions.”

Brownlee is an accomplished speaker, author and active community leader. He holds a Master’s degree in design from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State. “I look forward to becoming a full-time resident of the Melbourne community and contributing to not only BRPH’s success, but also that of local non-profit organizations, for which I have great passion,” he said.
