The Council of Catholic Women at Holy Name of Jesus Church on State Road A1A in Indialantic will host “Our American Heroes Campaign” on Patriot Day at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11.

The event supports fundraising for Track Chairs through the Independence Fund, “ensuring severely injured military members mobility, independence and dignity.” The devices allow access to all terrain and allow users to be placed in an upright position.

Track Chairs enhance the quality of life for our American heroes,” event co-organizer Mary Lou Szydlowski said . “They help families share and grow stronger through enjoying the outdoors. Our American heroes deserve the best. We want the community to join us and make their world a better  place.”

Military, police, firefighters and other first responders will be honored at the event. Other attractions include a children's obstacle course fun run, area vendors and live music.
