District 8 U.S. Congressman Bill Posey will host a Federal Contracting Conference Tuesday, August 2 at the Florida Institute of Technology Denius Student Center, 150 Country Club Drive in Melbourne. This is a chance for government contractors to have one-on-one meetings with procurement representatives from Washington D.C. and throughout Central Florida to explore new contracting opportunities.
Boomers and seniors exploring encore careers as entrepreneurs and existing local businesses that specialize in technology, innovation, defense contracting and services can learn how to navigate the federal procurement process.
“There are many Space Coast businesses that specialize in providing services that are applicable to meeting the needs of federal agencies,” Posey said. “Learning how to navigate the federal procurement process and how to access decision makers within federal agencies helps our local businesses and workers compete.”
Posey will coordinate the event with the 45th Space Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, FAA, GSA, CareerSource Brevard, Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, NASA, SBA, Small Business Development Center at Eastern Florida State College, Space Florida, SCORE and weVENTURE Powered by Florida Tech.
