Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott and her staff present a $6,010 check June 18 to United Way/Project Hunger. The check represents donations received from Scott’s sixth annual Vote to End Childhood Hunger Raffle & Bake Sale.

Project Hunger provides access to proper nutrition during the summer months for children who receive free or reduced-price lunches during the school year. Part of the proceeds also will aid United Way’s Feed and Read program, which provides one-on-one reading mentors and distributes new books to children throughout Brevard County.
