Safari Under the Stars promises to dazzle
Safari Under the Stars, one of Brevard’s most anticipated annual fundraisers, will dazzle guests once more from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
Presented by Holiday Builders, the event garners support for Brevard Zoo’s conservation, education and animal care programs. This year’s celebrity guest is renowned autism activist and animal behaviorist Temple Grandin.
“Last year we introduced a new concept called Give from the Heart, which asks Safari guests to support a specific zoo initiative,” said Karen Davis, the zoo’s director of development. “This year, we’re focusing on making our facility more accessible to youth with special needs. Gifts will be used to construct a safe, welcoming venue where children will have the chance to explore and connect with nature. We plan to employ more specialized education staff, which will allow us to further integrate all children in our programs.”
Safari Under the Stars will provide a sensational evening complete with three themed cocktail parties, sumptuous culinary delights, tantalizing libations, animal encounters, auctions and Safari After Dark revelry with dancing, a Top 40 live band and a cigar lounge.
Safari Under the Stars is also made possible by signature sponsors Artemis, Flammio Financial Group, Clear Choice Health Care/Berman Hopkins/Schwinn, Harris Corporation, The Parker Foundation for Autism and Child Development, Central Florida Hand Center, Rossway Swan, Boys Electrical Contractors, Brewer Paving and Development, Circle Redmont, Island Jaguar/Land Rover Merritt Island, Shelter Mortgage Company, Sperando Family Foundation, TerraCom Direct, W&J Construction Corporation and Health First.
