Brevard Renaissance Fair Seeks Volunteers to Support the Arts in Brevard
The Medieval world comes to Brevard County as the Brevard Renaissance Fair gears up for the first of several events to raise awareness in the community. At its core, the annual fair is an educational fundraiser to benefit Annie and Kids, Arts and Education Foundation, a group focused on Arts in Brevard. This tremendous festival requires a great deal of behind the scenes planning and building to be a success, with many opportunities for students, artists, and actors to contribute.
“It is our goal to promote and support arts, education, and imagination for the citizens of Brevard County,” shares Anthony DeRivi, the program director.
The planning committee has organized several opportunities to get involved, including auditions for stage and lane characters:
- Auditions — Henegar Center, 625 E. New Haven Ave., Suite 119 in Melbourne on Saturday, June 10, from 2 - 4 p.m.
- Auditions and call backs — Henegar Center, 625 E. New Haven Ave., Suite 119 in Melbourne on Tuesday, June 20, from 6:30 - 9 p.m.
Ongoing efforts to secure weekly assistance building sets, props, and signs for the fair are underway.
