Ever thought about walking a fashion runway? You could get your chance when Viera Models holds an open model runway call from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Holiday Inn-Space Coast Convention Center at 301 Tucker Lane, Cocoa. Men and women models from age 4 to 45 are needed and no previous experience is required. One person will also win a fashion shoot valued at $850.
Models are asked to wear jeans and a white top and girls should bring a pair of heels. Any models under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian present.
The models who are selected will walk the runway in the Glitz and Glam Fashion for a Purpose show that will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, also held at the Holiday Inn-Space Coast Convention Center. This high-energy fashion show will include choreography, live entertainment, raffles and a runway contest.
The Glitz and Glam show will benefit Hands for Healing International, a global humanitarian relief organization headquartered in Palm Bay.
Forty models will wear 80 different designs from some of Brevard’s top designers and boutiques. Last year’s inaugural Glitz and Glam event saw more than 500 attendees and included sponsorships from Macy’s, Old Navy and Walmart.
General admission to the fashion show is $24. VIP admission is $40 and tickets can be purchased directly from Viera Modeling. For more information on both events, go to vieramodelsagency.com or call 321-305-4615.
