A group of Quest Elementary School students are making it easier for families in need to help celebrate birthdays.

As part of their school service project, Quest first grade students collected boxes of cake mix, icing and candles and also wrote out cards. Those supplies were then delivered to schools in need along with the food pantry at Daily Bread and the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.

Quest first grade teachers Kaylie Prater and Jolene Reyier oversaw the project which collected 144 birthday boxes for families who might not be able to purchase a birthday cake for a family member.
