The Viera High School Theatre Department, also known as Starhawk Productions, will perform “All Shook Up” at 7 p.m. Nov. 16, 17 and 18 at the Viera High School Auditorium. A 2 p.m. matinee also will be performed on Nov. 18.

“All Shook Up” is a musical comedy built around a number of songs made famous by Elvis Presley. It’s not a biographical revue. It takes place in 1955, somewhere in the middle of America, where one girl’s dream and a surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger help a small town to discover the magic of romance and the power of rock and roll.

Among the 24 songs featured in the score are classics such as  “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Love Me Tender,’’ “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and of course the title tune, “All Shook Up.’’ It is loosely based on Shakespeare’s comedy “The Twelfth Night.”

Tickets are available at the door and online at brevardschools.org/VieraHS. Tickets for students cost $8; tickets for adults are $10.

The show is based on a book by Joe Dipietro; orchestrations by Michael Gibson and Stephen Oremus; music arrangements by Stephen Oremus; dance arrangements by Zane Mark and August Eriksmoen; new orchestrations and arrangements by Eriksmoen; and music preparation by Kaye-Houston Music.
