New Rotary club will give Suntree/Viera members choice of time, day
The newly forming Rotary Club of Viera will meet at noon Wednesday, July 20 at Tequila Azul restaurant at The Avenue Viera, 6630 Colonnade Ave. in Viera. It is the first official meeting of the new club.
The club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Suntree and Viera Voice. Members network to build commerce and strengthen charitable services in the community, primarily for the benefit of children.
The choice of day and time will give area members a choice that best fits their schedules, said Suntree Rotary member Mike Pisacano, who is spearheading the launch of the club and will remain a Suntree member.
“We meet at 7:30 a.m. Fridays in Suntree, and that’s great for the members who attend,” Pisacano said. The club meets at Suntree Country Club and hosts other events there, including the major annual fundraiser for chosen charities, Great Tastes at Suntree, each October.
“It might work better for some members, including new members, to meet the middle of the week at lunchtime,” he said, adding that he will continue an ongoing drive for new members for both clubs.
