Holy Trinity football gets in some early work

Tigers play Eau Gallie, Astronaut in FHSAA officials scrimmage

Holy Trinity’s Tyler Forde goes up to make an acrobatic catch during Saturday’s scrimmage against Eau Gallie. The Tigers took part in the FHSAA officials training day at Astronaut High, playing a half against the Commodores, and then against the host War Eagles. Though the offense failed to score a point in either half of play, the Tigers did get some strong performances. Forde, a senior, was strong on both sides of the ball. Junior newcomer Lino Odenat had two interceptions while freshman James BlackStrain and sophomore Larry Hill had one pick each. Another sophomore, Trey Palmer, also played well defensively for Holy Trinity. The Tigers will host Cocoa Beach on Friday in the Kickoff Classic before opening the regular season on Aug. 25 against Trinity Prep.
