VSLL Majors Baseball dominates again to finish pool play 4-0

Micah Cheatham went 3-for-3 with a triple and a home run for the Viera-Suntree Little League Majors Baseball All-Stars.Wednesday night in a District 2 pool play game against West Melbourne. The VSLL won the game 12-2 in four innings to finish pool play undefeated.

Pool play is over in the District 2 Majors Baseball division and there’s no question who the clear-cut favorite is to take the title.

The Viera-Suntree Little League All-Stars defeated West Melbourne 12-2 in four innings Wednesday night at Rodes Park. Not only did the VSLL finish 4-0 in pool play, it outscored opponents 39-14 in those four games.

Micah Cheatham went 3-for-3 with a triple, a home run and two RBIs for the VSLL. Brandon Reiter went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Jonah Peacock was 2-for-2 with a double, a triple and two RBIs.

Izzy Birru also went 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Evan Lipski had a triple and scored a run.

On the mound, Brennan Confreda threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings while striking out two. He was followed by Robbie Caruso (one strikeout), Reiter (one strike out) and Mikey Minarik (one strikeout).

The VSLL will return to action Friday against the No. 4 seed at 6:30 p.m. at Rodes Park.
