Now that’s how you close out a season.

Holy Trinity’s Marisa Spies and her brother, Alex Spies, not only set personal records at last weekend’s Class 1A state swimming championship …

They broke school records, too.

Marisa Spies finished the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:06.39 during the preliminaries Saturday at the Sailfish Splash Waterpark and Aquatics Center inn Stuart.

That put the senior into the finals of the event where she would finish 13th in a time of 1:07.14.

Alex Spies, a sophomore, qualified for the finals in the 200 individual medley and came in 12th in a school-record time of 1:58.16.
