Viera’s Jones sets school record in final race

Two Viera High swimmers closed out their careers in style at the Class 3A state championship meet at the Sailfish Splash Waterpark and Aquatics Center in Stuart.

Connor Jones finished 14th in the 200 IM and set a new school record in the process with a time of 1:59:58. The senior also finished 20th in the 500 free. Jones had a time of 4:46.29.

Senior Connor Marks, meanwhile, was 24th in the 100 back. He had a time of 56:64.
