Marc Dobson and his One-Man Band will provide the entertainment as Senior Life conducts its final Drive-Thru Senior Expo from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6 at the Melbourne Square Mall.
Attendees of the fourth and final expo will enter the Melbourne Square Mall at the south entrance of Macy’s. They will remain in their car as they visit each of the exhibitors.
Free COVID-19 supply kits will be given to the first 200 cars. Besides gifts and information packets distributed by each of the exhibitors at each tent, Senior Life will give away a free Big Red Bag. It will be stuffed full of senior resources, information and giveaways.
Attendees are asked to remain in their car as they drive through the expo. Exhibitors and the event staff will wear masks and conform to social distancing.
A free bottle of water also will be provided.
Dobson, who performed during last year’s Harvest Festival at The Avenue Viera, plays a mix of rock, country and pop music. He has performed for the past 31 years, with the last 10 years as his One-Man Band.
The native of Nova Scotia sings, dances, plays the harmonica, guitar, drum and tambourine. Sometimes all at the same time.
Dobson entertains audiences with a backpack drum kit equipped with straps attached to his feet. While singing and dancing, the drums play along with his guitar and harmonica. The motorized, self-powered wagon provides up to 2,000 watts of sound.
A pet food drive will be conducted. Attendees are asked to bring dog or cat food. It will be donated to local animal shelters.
For those who bring their dogs, dog treats will be provided.
Humana and Health First are the major sponsors, and Melbourne Square Mall is the venue sponsor.
