VHS troupe presents hilarious whodunit ‘Clue’ in January

Viera High School's production "Clue: On Stage (High School Edition)" will be held Jan. 20 and 21.

Viera High School’s theater program will present a comedic onstage version of the classic murder-mystery game Clue at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21 and Saturday, Jan. 22 at the school’s on-campus auditorium at 6103 Stadium Parkway.

Tickets are $10 for “Clue: On Stage (High School Edition),” a farce which originally was to be presented in November but was rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Based on the classic Hasbro board game which inspired a 1985 film, “Clue” follows six mysterious guests who assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu.

It’s been a series of highs and lows for the school’s theater program and Starhawk Productions during pre-production of “Clue.”

The program’s publicity team was recognized for its successful campaign as junior Lindsey Ott won best of show for publicity at the Florida Thespians District 11 competition.

Ott compiled a portfolio complete with six different poster designs for the play. But students were disappointed after that play had to be postponed  for safety concerns.
