A Messiah Sing-Along at the Avenue Viera on Dec. 11 - free performance of holiday classic

Maestro Aaron T. Collins will conduct the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra and singers in an outdoor presentation of the free Messiah Sing-Along at the Avenue Viera on December 11.

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will present the 13th Annual Messiah Sing-along concert 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 at The Avenue Viera.

The enduring Christmas oratorio by George Frideric Handel will be presented outdoors as a “Sing-along” for the public, at the easternmost end of The Avenue at 2261 Town Center Avenue.

Dozens of socially distanced singers from throughout Central Florida are expected to participate in the grand choral event, accompanied by members of the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra. Professional soloists to be featured include, Mary Anne Kruger, soprano; Eliza Dopira, mezzo soprano; Bryan Hayes, tenor; and Stephen Mumbert, baritone. SCSO Conductor and Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins will lead the chamber orchestra and chorus during the Messiah Sing-Along.

The public is invited to join the ranks of the singers or simply listen to the perennial Christmas favorite.
