There’s plenty to do around the county this weekend. From mud racing to craft fairs, you’re sure to find an event the whole family can enjoy. Here are your best bets for the weekend.

Saturday, May 8, 7 a.m. Run for the Gecko 5K 

Wickham Park, 2815 Leisure Pkwy., Melbourne

Adults: $30. Children (12 & under): $15.

Birthday cake will be served to all finishers. Free beer and mimosas (21+) will also be available. In addition to the 5K, children can participate in the Li'l Gecko Kids’ Run with Zippy the gecko. All proceeds go toward Eau Gallie High School running programs. Participants can enter a random giveaway for a $500 gift card. 

2021 Drive, Chip and Putt Contest  7 - 8 a.m.

Duran Golf Club 7032 Stadium Pkwy., Melbourne

This FREE contest is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 15 competing in separate divisions in four age categories. Read more about the contest here

Teen Mission's 5K Mud Run  7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

885 E. Hall Rd., Merritt Island

Cost: 30+ challenging obstacles $65 (fun) or $70 (competitive timed). Bring a picnic lunch or purchase hot dogs and hamburgers. All proceeds provide medical and material relief in needy communities worldwide. Runners are encouraged to wear an old pair of shoes to run the race and donate them afterward.

Melbourne's Mega Rummage Sale  9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne

The Melbourne Auditorium transitions into a shopping paradise for those wanting to find a great deal. Enjoy raffle prizes, backpacks and drink cups for the first 200 customers. City Bistro will be open during the event.

Cocoa Village Summer Art & Craft Fair

Saturday, May 8: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sunday, May 9: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Cost: FREE

The Cocoa Village Summer Art & Craft Fair will feature more than 200 unique artists and crafters, two days of fabulous arts and crafts, street food and live entertainment. Kids and pets are welcome.

Moms and Mimosas: A Girls' Day Out  10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Historic Downtown Titusville, 300 S. Washington Ave, Titusville

Shops will open early and serve complimentary mimosa samples in a variety of spring flavors. Merchants will run Mother’s Day specials all day. 

Kids Sewing Club: Mother’s Day Frame/Card Class with Lou Anne  10 a.m. - Noon
